Summer is in full swing, and so is the heat! Did you know that melanoma – the most serious type of skin cancer – is one of the most common cancers in young Americans? Further, children who have had a sunburn at an early age are at a higher risk for developing melanoma in adulthood, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In partnership with the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, CHOC Children’s encourages you to stay safe in the sun all year long. To get involved, create a 15 second video on how you play safe in the sun, and you can enter to win a Schwinn bicycle!
Enter your video between now and Aug. 24, 2014. Voting will take place Aug. 25 – Sept. 1. For details, please visit SunSafe4Schwinn.
